Barium ferrite (BaFe₁₂O₁₉) powder made specifically for magnetic cards. Its coercivity matches magnetic card read/write requirements; the platelet-shaped particles have a narrow size distribution and excellent temperature stability, so magnetic signals are retained reliably. Suited to coating magnetic recording media.
